Set Up Two-Factor

Every Velcrest account needs two-factor authentication, so from now on signing in takes a code from your phone as well as your password.

Step 1 — Get an authenticator app

We recommend Microsoft Authenticator, which is free on iPhone and Android. Any authenticator app will work just as well — this is ordinary TOTP, so Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, Bitwarden and the rest are all fine. If you already use one, stay with it.

Step 2 — Add this account

Preparing your setup code…

Can’t scan it? In your app choose “enter a setup key” and type this in.

Your app shows a new code every 30 seconds. Type the one showing now.

This step cannot be skipped — the portal stays locked until it is done.

Save Your Backup Codes

These are shown once and never again. Each one signs you in a single time if you ever lose your phone.

Keep them somewhere you can reach without your phone — a password manager, or printed and put away. Velcrest cannot look them up for you.

    Two-Factor Check

Open your authenticator app and enter the current 6-digit code for Velcrest.

One of the codes you saved when you set two-factor up. Each works once.
